J's Chimes: Turtles Itasha

What do you do when you just have lots of spare time and own a minivan? Well someone actually pimp their ride into a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Van from scratch. Speaking of which, the cartoon is a classic and was one of my favs back then. American cartoons have their own style of artwork as to compared with the Japanese...


The owner really tried his best to create the exact same look of the classic van the turtles would use, down to the equipment and the wings... Imagine driving this around in town...


A nice little comparison can be seen here... though the vehicles used is different, the design sure are similar...


Though the equipment and turrets are fake, it still looks pretty cool just to get these installed... Wonder what will the kids say when they see this vehicle...


The wing is even done to details... Wonder if this is copyright infringe... or that the the owner had already play a tribute fee for making this...


It's amazing that the owner could even get his car license plate registered as 'Cowabunga!' and with 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' print on it...


Drivers in the front beware... When you look at the rear view mirror, ya might see an angry looking car glaring back at you...


Perhaps a little too detailed... down to the words printed on the toy onto the minivan...
