J's Chimes: Tower Of Dragua The Sword Of URUK

This is gonna be a great anime worth waiting. The former Aegis of URUK ends with a surprising twist, a cliffhanger to be exact. Now it seems the second season is airing soon next year. I am so really looking forward to this amazing anime. You can visit the website at http://www.druaga-anime.com/ for more details. This is truly a must watch!

J's Chimes: Queen's Blade Airi Anime

Strange as it should be, Queen's Blade Airi only launch it's promo trailer only recently. (Maybe the anime was delayed?) In any case it does looks kinda interesting and I'd believe it may be something like Ikkitousen style kinda anime (You'll know what I mean..) Here's the promo trailer for your viewing needs!

J's Chimes: Long Gone?

After countless days without updating, ya probably wonder has J's Chimes shut it's gates... Well, we're not. In fact I have been so busy with work and my National Service Remedial Training that I'm almost drained these few days and without the mood to update during that time. Now that things are somewhat back to normal, I will be updating things up once again. Hope to have you around with us through the journey new year again...

Thursday 25 December 2008

J's Chimes: Ecchi Mangas

These days, mangas have become increasingly bold to attract more people to read them. There have been lots of ecchi scenes or fanservices for readers and such genres from harems to ecchi-ness are some of the most popular not only in Japan, but to other countries as well. Some of the popular ones now would be Kemeko DX, To Love-ru and Kiss x Sis (Now this is really ecchi...). Though it may be perverted, they are interesting and fun to read somehow regardless...

Sunday 21 December 2008

J's Chimes: Kiss x Sis

Another one of those mangas that got animated, Kiss x Sis will aired on the 22 Dec and seriously itturns out to be pretty good if you did read the manga before. Presenting lots of kisses and ecchi scenes, this is kinda similar to other shows like To Love-Ru or Onegai Twins. You'd really gotta see this. Check out it's website here or visit crunchyroll to watch the first episode. You can also read the manga here. It's really great to have 2 burakon sisters...lol.

J's Chimes: Soul Caliber Dance

Check out this amazing video my friend created from the popular fighting game Soul Caliber 4. That synchronization is seriously stunning and cool. Nice Michael Jackson's Theme to it. Credits to Shen Rii for allowing it to be posted here. I wonder if the other characters could work too...

J's Chimes: Revamps, Updates & Improvements

J's Chimes finally back on schedule with almost all of the sections back on track except for the cosplay section. Pictures are to be uploaded soon for the games and animations section. Guess you'd noticed a couple of changes at the main page too. Am currently solving the bandwidth limitation for the pictures too so we apologise for the inconvenience caused. J's Chimes is also thinking of scrapping off the 'cosplay' and 'about me' section and replaced it with other new contents. More to be announced soon. Meanwhile check out the continual photo updates for the EOY 2008.

J's Chimes: Akatsuki Vs Photographers

The EOY Cosplay 2008 which was held today was a camera trigger-happy day for me. For those who didn't go to the event, you can view my uploads here on Reel 1, Reel 2 & Reel 3 or on the right sidebar of my blog. Am currently uploading them asap for your viewing pleasure.

Thursday 11 December 2008

J's Chimes: Resident Evil Degeneration

In case you haven't notice, Biohazard = Resident Evil. (In US they name it Resident Evil while the Japanese use Bio Hazard) This fully CG animated movie will be in stores around the 28 Dec this year. (If you can, you could actually find the streaming version or the torrent lol.) The story goes 4 years after the Racoon City incident and disaster struck at the airport. The long time favourite Leon S Kennedy from the RE2 series came back as a special agent and met up with Claire Redfield to stop the T & G virus from spreading across this new country. Visit the US website here and the Japan website here.

J's Anime: Updating To Schedule

J's Chimes has been updating past sections these few days so certain sections are up and running now. We'd need to catch up and put everything back on schedule and make up for the loss time. It also seems like the blog has received many hits lately so my bandwidth has exceeded much faster than I thought was. Need to find new alternatives for these problems. Well, in any case it's still a good sign as now we've a couple of readers now. Please continue to visit for more new updates coming your way...

Tuesday 9 December 2008

J's Chimes: Macademi Wasshoi!

One of the funniest animes I've watched this season. Macademi Wasshoi! or known as Magician's Academy, originates from a game in the PS2 Console. (Think it's a Galge or something...) In any case, this anime is jus so hilarious that I can't stop laughing. (Especially Episode 6...) You can find out more about it here at http://www.macademi.tv/ or just simply watch the anime at Crunchyroll.

Sunday 7 December 2008

J's Chimes: Toushin Toushi 3

Toushin Toushi 3 or preferably known as Tournament of the Gods has been pretty popular lately ever since its launch on the 28 November in Japan. It has remain as the top 5 best eroge games this season. Alicesoft games sure are popular for every release they have. Find out more about Toushin Toushi and the craze of this addictive RPG right here or visit their website here.

Friday 5 December 2008

J's Chimes: Itasha

Itasha or known as 'Pain Cars', are often seen in Japan streets and especially so in Akihabara. But in Singapore we'd seldom encounter such works of art driving in the streets. I've seen some from Granado Espada to Hello Kitty and Shagukan No Shana. There are some miscellaneous characters too. There's even one near where I lived too but I didn't have my camera along with me to take it and post it on my blog. So do you guys manage to caught a glimpse of one in Singapore?

Wednesday 3 December 2008

J's Chimes: Essential Protections

Does your computer lagged a lot or plenty of errors popping up your desktop? How about spywares, viruses and such affecting your computer performance? Some of the essential programs in which you'd need are AVG Antivirus, Advance System Care, Ad-Aware, Smart Defrag and Regcure. They are all freewares except for Regcure...(Get a crack patch? lol) Am currently using those programs for my computer and it really helps big time. So if your computers does have problems, don't spend unnecessary time reinstalling your computer, download this programs for protection.

Sunday 30 November 2008

J's Chimes: Uesugi Kenshin

I like scale models don't you? But this one's gonna burn my wallet right down to the pants. Retails 11800yen = SGD$165, this is one of the best model for Uesugi Kenshin from the popular eroge Sengoku Rance. It's about 1/5 scale and her clothes can be cast off... Hmmm... But in any case, I admired her a lot because of the game and her character. Even more because of her armor which is so cool. Click here for more pics or here to know more about Sengoku Rance.

J's Chimes: Looks Can Be Deceiving

Just got my pre-order revoltech figure of Yoko from Gurren Lagann but somehow she doesn't look much like the picture as posted here. The skin tone is way too dark than the original and that it's just doesn't look appealing at all... Guess it's another one of those failed products like the Idolmaster Revoltech Fraulein figures. In any case I'll still display it since it's already been bought...

Thursday 27 November 2008

J's Chimes: Left 4 Dead

Bought this game a week ago and immediately was hooked onto it... Out in the Xbox 360 console and PC version, Left 4 Dead is a survival horror game whereby you can play with 3 other friends online as a co-op to survive the zombie apocalypse. From the creators of Counterstrike, this game is so intense and nice it'll keep you asking for more. Resident Evil, Dead Space and Deadrising fans will definitely love this game too... Visit the website at http://www.l4d.com/.

Wednesday 26 November 2008

J's Chimes: Louise No Shana

Love the voice of Shana from Shakugan No Shana? What about Louise from Zero No Tsukaima? Does this sentence 'Urusai Urusai Urusai' reminds you of anything familiar? Yes it is and it's by the same voice actress named Rie Kugimiya. Her most current works would probably be Toradora. What amazes me is that their atittudes are almost the same... Louise, Shana and even Taiga. You can watch the latest anime Toradora right here at crunchyroll.com.

Monday 24 November 2008

J's Chimes: Anime Festival Asia Day 2

Here are the Day 2 photos of the Anime Festival Asia 2008 held at Suntec City Singapore. Lots of cosplayers around hence would probably be the most busiest day than the first... You can view the photos by clicking here or the link located on the sidebar.

Saturday 22 November 2008

J's Chimes: AFA 2008 Loot And Photos

The Anime Festival Asia is seriously as crowded as the previous Coscon Convention. Went there a bought a few models back home for just SGD$30 a piece. From the right is Azusa from Yakitate Japan, followed by Queen's Blade Airi and lastly Priecia from Prism Ark. Took lots of pictures there too and you can view them simply by clicking here or at the sidebar link. Videos will be posted in another day.

Friday 21 November 2008

J's Chimes: Anime Festival Asia 2008

Thursday 20 November 2008

J's Chimes: Otomedieus Gorgeous

Wow it's finally here! After spending hours and money on the arcade version, Otomedius Gorgeous have finally been released for sale this on this very day. It's a good thing I've pre-ordered sooner because of the rising currency of the US dollars. Ordered it at SGD$89 and now it has risen to SGD$100++! Hope it arrives asap so that I may play it during this holiday season... You can check out the game right here.

Sunday 16 November 2008

J's Chimes: Anime Songs & Music

Recently I've been listening to a lot of anime songs... Going out and even at home. Seriously I've only been listening to them ever since I got into anime... (Nothing else interest me unless there are some nice songs elsewhere in other languages...) Too many favorites and don't know where to begin... So do you love anime songs too?

Thursday 13 November 2008

J's Chimes: Game Maddness

This season is also a killer. Other than animes, a couple of great games are released this season probably because it's the school holidays. Recently bought a couple from Command & Conquer Red Alert 3 to Dead Space. Some other good ones are Gears of War 2, Infinite Discovery, Star Wars The Force Unleashed....Ahhh! Too many... My wallet burns! Spending time playing games and awaiting my pre-ordered Otomedieus Gorgeous! Looks like I'll need to balance between anime and games now...

Wednesday 12 November 2008

J's Chimes: Anime Galore

The increasing amount of animes that I have not yet watch are piling up in my hard drives and finally I've decided to start watching them one anime at a time. There are just too many new animes coming up this season that I do not even have the time to finish watching last seasons... Dang, I really need to start picking up the pace again and keep up with the times...

Monday 10 November 2008

J's Chimes: The Sky Crawlers

The Sky Crawlers movie is coming to a theater near you soon... Came across this particular poster at Plaza Singapura's movie theater. The Sky Crawlers is actually a Japanese Novel series created by Hiroshi Mori and now it has become a movie. The artworks are pretty promising and fans of Sky Girls or Strike Witches might like it as there're much aerial dogfights and stuff... Well it's still too soon to say anything yet except to wait for it's opening...

Friday 7 November 2008

J's Chimes: Happy 1st Anniversary!

J's Chimes is now 1 years old and am pretty surprised that we can get 5000 hits for this very day. Thanks again for all your support. It's been a very tough year and with much perseverance that I'm able to keep on blogging up to now... Seriously it's not been easy but now that everything just turn out great, I am happy too. Stay tune for more updates coming soon...

Thursday 6 November 2008

J's Chimes: Okusama Wa Joshikousei

Surfing the net and suddenly stumbled upon this anime in Crunchyroll. Okusama Wa Joshikousei or titled 'My Wife Is A Highschool Girl', is a romantic anime about a highschool girl who married a teacher in her school. And thus a story develops... Well if you do like Ecchi love animes from To Love-Ru or even Zero No Tsukaima, maybe you wanna check this out a little... Click here to watch the anime.

J's Chimes: Tales Of Vesperia Manga

OMG OMG OMG! It's only recently that I've bought and play this game and now it seems like this particular game has become so popular that a manga has been release for it. The artwork for the manga is great and have caught my attention. I guess I better start reading it and then off to play the game again... Have been too caught up with the game 'Dead Space' that I neglected this... Time to save the world again! Start reading the manga here.

Monday 3 November 2008

J's Chimes: Girl In A Box

Though this is rather late news, but then this game in some way or another has caught the attention of many Eroge Fans. Made by the Illusion company and released on the 10 Oct this year, the game 'Hako' allows players to breed girls the size of an apple in a box. You got to feed them, play with them just like a Tamagouchi. And of course the famous thing which made Illusion games popular... I personal belief Artificial Girl 3 os a lot better. Well, different people have different perspectives...

Sunday 2 November 2008

J's Chimes: Refurbishment

My room's getting a bit messy recently after the Vietnam trip and thus have decided to clean up bit by bit starting with my display cabinet... Had cleaned and make way for more of my models now but still insufficient for my current ones... Well at least it's better now. Do you clean your models too? Models get a little dusty after some time so it's wise to clean them once in a while to prevent colour fading or losing it's moisture which results in dryness.

Thursday 30 October 2008

J's Chimes: Rings Depression

Ever since my friends told me about the meaning of rings put on for each finger of a girl, I became very conscious about it almost every time I go out. Sadness sets in each time I see girls with a ring that signifies that they're attached. Sighed... Are all the good ones already taken? Hope something good happens soon to put me in cloud 9 too...

Monday 27 October 2008

J's Chimes: Back From Vietnam

I'd never would have thought that Vietnam is actually quite a build-up country until I visited it last week. Presenting traffics that are so congested, you'd be awed at how many bikers there are. Bought a lot of stuff in Ho Ching Minh City from Clothes to even a R6 for my Nintendo DS... lol, now I can play lots of games... Even went to Nha Trang for a little sightseeing... (Now thinking of organising another trip there again soon...

Monday 20 October 2008

J's Chimes: Better Red Than Dead

This game is killing me... the suspense, the horror, the excitement. Dead Space is a definite breakthrough of horror games ever since the Resident Evil Series. I had to cover myself with a blanket after awhile because am feeling rather cold somehow... With it's incredible graphics, storyline and gameplay, it puts you at the edge of your sit each time... So if you do own a Xbox 360 then this is really one game not to be miss... seriously... See the trailer here.

Saturday 18 October 2008

J's Chimes: Dragonball Live Action Movie

20th Century Fox sure runs out of ideas to come up with a new movie till they decided to give the popular Japanese manga Dragonball a shot with a new live action movie this year. Presenting the casts that doesn't even look a bit like the original and mixing kung fu fighting into the world of dragon ball with a little bit of western style scene and action sure turns down most of Dragonball fans. Look at the trailer and be amazed... So do you still wanna watch?

Thursday 16 October 2008

J's Chimes: Tales Of The Abyss

Tales Of The Abyss was created Bandai Namco, the same company who created Tales Of Vesperia. Out on the Playstation 2, somehow it manages to become an anime this season probably because it's rather famous. Wow, brings back memories but I've yet to complete Tales Of The Abyss though... The animation artwork lives up to what the game has shown but then its the transition of the story that's the problem as its too fast (Guess it's to fit in a 12 episode timeframe type of anime yet again...) But all the more worthwhile to watch and recall the plot of it once again... Time to find some time to play this game again...

Wednesday 15 October 2008

J's Chimes: Ga-Rei-Zero

Ga-Rei-Zero is seriously one of the weirdest animes that came out this season and am truly shocked by the endings... At first glance you might though that the characters are the main hero and heroines of this anime but then they were killed in action in just episode 1. (Though they looked kinda cool and stuff but seriously...) Well ya never know what's coming up next until you see the next episode... I gotta admit the graphics are definitely nice but the plot is somehow confusing whether who is indeed the main character of the anime and the story...

Monday 13 October 2008

J's Chimes: Off To Vietnam

In 10 days time, I will be flying to Vietnam for a little trip. J's Chimes will still continue to update itself as I've already schedule the posts ahead of time. But seriously being away for a week makes me a little nervous as I'd miss plenty of animes and updates of stuff I'd always search for every single day... Lots of things to catch up after I come back. Hope the trip is worth it...

Sunday 12 October 2008

J's Chimes: Hatsune Miku 1/8 Scale Get-to!

Well it finally arrives after waiting for 3 long months... Rushed to China Square Central immediately to grab the best one without any dents or scratches... Wow, it really is a nice figure ever since Tsukishiro Mina. Take it out of the box immediately for some serious admiring and then back it goes again... Dang! It's just to precious to display it outside the environment... A layer of dust already forms on Tsukishiro Mina already... Don't want that to happen to Hatsune Miku too...

Saturday 11 October 2008

J's Chimes: Bandwidth Problems

Yesterday was a disaster... It seems that the pictures are too taxing for J's Chimes until the bandwidth exceeded it's monthly limit of 25gig for my photobucket pictures... Well it can be good and bad because this means that J's Chimes have been visited by many people now but at the same time such depressing pics have to appear at the very wrong time... Have to solve the problem by signing up for another account to distribute the bandwidth so that hopefully such will not happen again...

Friday 10 October 2008

J's Chimes: Animes To Go...

Things aren't looking too good for me as I've have yet to even finish watching last season's anime, not to mention To Love-Ru and even the famous Macross Frontier. This season's anime might yet be another killer as there are quite a number of good animes up on air. Need to dig up some free time to watch Kemeko DX, Boy And Iron and some other interesting ones coming up...

Wednesday 8 October 2008

J's Chimes: New Vs Old

There are a couple of animes and even games like Resident Evil is being remake and refined. One of the best is the rebuilt of Evangelion. In any case, the anime Kyou No Go No Ni has been remake into a much 'cuter' character design as to compare with the previous and the voice actors sound 'kiddy' too. I prefer the previous one though because the artwork is definitely better and looks more matured. Watch and compare the old one here and the new one here.

Tuesday 7 October 2008

J's Chimes: Support Us!

1 more month before J's Chimes officially turns 1 this year. I do hope you guys can help spread the word about J's Chimes so that more people will get to know this blog. Our target would be 5000 hits just before 7 November next year so keep visiting my blog for more updates and stuff.

Monday 6 October 2008

J's Chimes: Tales Of Vesperia Opening

Bought this game just days ago and already got hooked to it. But seriously there are more amazing stuffs to be hooked on to it too. For example the fantastically good opening introduction for the game which never bores me to watch it through each time I plays the game. There are 2 opening intros for it, one in English and the other in Japanese... Watch them both and see which suits your taste best... But seriously though...Both are real good...

This is the English Theme Introduction for the game. Sounds weird for a Japanese game but somehow it blends well and I like it though...

The Japanese Theme Introduction is still the original but seriously both have its uniqueness that simply words can't explain. Both are just nice. What do you think?

Sunday 5 October 2008

J's Chimes: Games Month

For some reason or another, I've been attracted to console games a lot. Probably because I finally got my pre-order for Idolm@ster Live for you! and also bought Tales of Vesperia off HMV at Citylink Mall. Idolm@ster Live for you! really gets to me as the songs are great. The best would be Tales of Vesperia as am pretty much into the game already... There are just too many good games coming out this season it seems... Am looking forward to it... Oh my wallet hurts...

Wednesday 1 October 2008

J's Chimes: Season End Animes

Another season of animes ended. This season animes were the best but somehow or rather I didn't really have the time to finish watching them all. Most unfavorable end would be the finale of Code Geass. Of course there are good ones like Macross Frontier. Lots of 12 episodes animes too but they're ok somehow. Looking forward to this coming season's animes...

Monday 29 September 2008

J's Chimes: Introduction To Addiction

My friend introduces me to the shooting game Silent Hill The Arcade in the videogames center at Suntec City Singapore and was hooked on immediately. Though it costs a whooping SGD$2 - 4 Tokens to play, I manage to play till the end stage with just a single first try... Woot! It was definitely worth it as it's about an hour of suspense and horror but just seriously fun and exciting. Will play it again tomorrow and the weekends. I just can't get enough of it ever since the playstation version...

Sunday 28 September 2008

J's Chimes: My Desktop Your Desktop

Everytime you switched on your computer, the first thing that you would see is definitely your desktop. (Unless your computer crashes...) My current wallpaper would be Hatsune Miku from Vocaloid... Haven't found anything better to set. I love to keep my desktop clean unless when there are important shortcuts or progams that I would need frequently. Do you keep your desktop clean and tidy or full with icons all around?

Thursday 25 September 2008

J's Chimes: The Anime That Began It All...

The anime Dual! Parallel Troubled Adventure, which released in 1999 was one of the few Japanese animations that got me interested in animes. (Which in turn become one of my hobbies too...) There are many others but this particular one impact me the most as I watched it may times through without getting sick of it... Recorded it in VHS tapes before but had saved it in Realplayer format now... What animations that impacted you a lot and made you watch animes too?

Tuesday 23 September 2008

J's Chimes: Zombie Time!

For some reason or another, I started revisiting the resident evil games. Played Resident Evil Outbreak and suddenly got hooked into playing the entire Resident Evil series. The movie is nothing compare to the game and Outbreak really keeps me thinking... what will we do if something like that will to happen? Milk products from China are a scare now though... Resident Evil brought in other title like the Xbox 360 'Deadrising' and the upcoming game 'Left 4 Dead' by the counterstrike creators. Eagerly waiting for the fifth installment as it rocks. Check the trailer out here and be awed. Another recommendation would be to read this manga titled 'Highschool Of The Dead' which is so interesting that it makes you crave for more...

Monday 22 September 2008

J's Chimes: Kamen Convention

In today's 'My Paper', the Games Convention Asia has seen an increase in the the number of visitors for this year. And a couple of cosplayers around like Kamen Rider and stuff. Plenty of games being displayed there and if you'd missed it, then surely you would have to wait till next year. Read more about it here or view the photographs that I've taken in the previous post.
